Richland County elections director resigns after more than 1,000 ballots were not counted
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The director the Richland County’s Elections and Voter Registration board has resigned.
Rokey Suleman resignation comes after more than 1,000 ballots were not counted in the last November’s election.
State election officials say they do not think the uncounted ballots would have changed the results of any of the races.
The Board Chairwoman, Jane Emerson says Suleman was not asked to resign.
