Fatal Accident in Lexington County

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — The Lexington County Coroner’s office tells ABC Columbia News they are investigating a fatality which occurred at approximately 12:20 AM on Sunday, October 2, 2011, on Fish Hatchery Road near the intersection of Wedgefield Circle. According to Coroner Harry O. Harman, Jessica Lynn Pearson, 23, of Lexington, SC, was a passenger in a vehicle which left the roadway and overturned. Ms. Pearson was ejected from the vehicle and was transported to Lexington Medical Center where she died, says the coroner. Mr. Harman says an autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death. The accident remains under investigation by the Lexington County Coroner‘s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
