USC hosts ESPN executive’s talk on sports business

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — An executive with ESPN and the SEC Network is scheduled to speak at the University of South Carolina about the business of television
Justin Connolly is the senior vice president of college networks at ESPN. He is delivering the annual Buchheit Family Lecture on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Gambrell Hall. It is free and open to the public.
Connolly has worked for ESPN since 2003 as director of strategy and operations, vice president of distribution strategy and vice president of national accounts for Disney and ESPN.
The Buchheit Family Lecture Series was created in 2000 in honor of the late Phil Buchheit, former president and chairman of Mid-South Management Company and the former publisher of the Spartanburg Herald-Journal.
