Activists young and old coming from all over the country to remember the struggle and keep the memory of Selma Marchers alive. “We don’t want people to come and just get a selife or a photo and then leave. I really want them to be enlightened.” Over the weekend, people from across the country converged on the historic Edmund Pettus Bridge where Selma Marchers were beaten bloody as they attempted to march over that same bridge back in 1965. “I thought it was our duty to just come out and represent those folks who have died for us.” (Source: CNN)
