US has deadliest day since coronavirus outbreak began as death toll surpasses 1000

(CNN) – The number of coronavirus cases in the United States now stands at more than 68,000. The daily death toll also reached a new high with at least 185 dying. That marks the nations deadliest day since the outbreak began.

The virus is also finding a way to infect children and even newborn babies.
