(WOLO) COLUMBIA, S.C. Dozens of concerned residents gathered in the center of the Parkwood Mobile home park in hopes of trying the one option they haven’t exhausted – prayer. Residents spent Wednesday night walking the length of the property with a neighboring Bishop, instead of waiting to be evicted from their homes in less than a month. Residents say they began fighting an uphill battle when they learned the owners of the property were allegedly delinquent on their utility bills. Water was shut off and residents were told they’d have to leave. The city of West Columbia has since restored water service, giving the owners until November 21st to pay water and sewage bills residents claim are 4 months behind.
