12 suspended for drag races at Pickens High School

PICKENS, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say 12 students have been suspended after drag racing in the Pickens County High School parking lot before classes.

Pickens County schools said the students were sent home after the incident Wednesday.

School officials say no one was hurt in the races, but refused to release any other details about the incident, saying district policy won’t allow them to release more information about disciplinary actions against students.
