Re-enactors at SC’s Fort Moultrie this weekend

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Fort Moultrie is observing Veterans Day with living history demonstrations and re-enactors portraying the troops who were stationed at the post over the years.

The events are being held Friday and Saturday at the fort at the edge of Charleston Harbor.

Re-enactors will portray soldiers from the Revolutionary War period through World War II. There will also be historic weapons demonstrations and programs where children can learn about muskets.

In honor of the nation’s veterans, admission to the fort is free through Sunday.
