LRADAC hosting Black Balloon Day on Saturday to honor lives lost drug overdose

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– One local company is holding an event to honor the lives lost to drug overdoses. LRADAC is hosting Black Balloon Day Saturday at the DSS parking lot at 1070 South Lake Drive in Lexington. The free drive-thru event goes from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Family members and loved ones will have the chance to write the name of a lost loved one on an environmentally friendly black balloon and release it in their memory.

LRADAC will also hand out education materials on ways to prevent substance misuse and overdoses.
