Sheriff: Woman charged with shooting, killing boyfriend

CALHOUN COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) — A St. Matthews woman was arrested Tuesday after she allegedly shot and killed her boyfriend. According to Sheriff Thomas Summers, 38-year-old Christina Weaver, shot Mitchell Taylor, 54, in a residence near St. Matthews. Taylor‘s body was discovered inside a Windmill Lane residence by deputies with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the upper body, authorities say. Sheriff Thomas said Weaver and Taylor became involved in some sort of argument inside the residence when she shot the victim with a handgun. Weaver was transported to the Orangeburg-Calhoun Regional Detention to await a bond hearing.
