35-foot Christmas tree arrives at the State House
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — It‘s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the Capital City. The state’s 35-foot Christmas tree arrived just after 10 a.m. at the Statehouse on Monday. The tree, a white fir from Pinetum Christmas Tree Farm in Swanton, Md. will be strung with 10,000 LED lights and decorated with 900 ornaments. Over the next few days crews with South Carolina Electric & Gas crews will string the LED lights as members from Columbia Garden Club and Garden Club of SC assist in hanging the ornaments.
