Staley named Naismith Coach of the Year finalist
South Carolina women’s basketball head coach Dawn Staley is one of four for the 2023 Werner Ladder Naismith Women’s College Coach of the Year award, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced today. The two-time winner of the award (2020, 2022), she is a finalist for the sixth time in the last 10 seasons.

NCAA Selection Show FAMdemonium is Back
South Carolina women’s basketball invites fans to FAMdemonium at Colonial Life Arena on Sun., March 12. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for the event, which features food trucks, photo ops around the concourse and a performance art creation by Jared Emerson ahead of the NCAA Selection Show airing at 8 p.m. Admission to the event is free with general admission seating.
Zia Cooke named a finalist for Dawn Staley Award
South Carolina senior Zia Cooke is one of four finalists for the 2023 Dawn Staley Award, the Phoenix Club of Philadelphia announced over the weekend. She is the fourth Gamecock guard to be a finalist for the award, joining Destanni Henderson and award winners Tyasha Harris (2020) and Tiffany Mitchell (2015).
