Causes of Death Released for Inmates Killed in Riot
Lee Co., S.C. (WOLO)– The coroner’s office in Lee Co. has released the causes of death for the seven inmates killed in a riot last week. Coroner Larry Logan says the men likely bled to death from sharp force wounds including stab wounds and incise wounds. Claflin President Announces Retirement
Orangeburg, S.C. (WOLO)–After more than 20 years of service, a Midlands university president is calling it a career. Tuesday afternoon Dr. Henry Tisdale announced his retirement as president at Claflin University. Since he began in 1994 Tisdale oversaw numerous facilities improvements as well as a doubling in enrollment. Tisdale’s last day on the job will be June of next year….

Sumter Man Accused of Assaulting Children
Sumter, S.C. (WOLO)– A Sumter man is accused of sexually assaulting a five year old and a six year old. Brian Barefoot is charged with two counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor. RCSD Chase Ends in Crash
Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)– A chase involving a Richland Co. deputy ended in a crash Thursday morning. Investigators say around 8am Thursday the deputy was pursuing a suspect in a stolen car on Garners Ferry Rd. The suspect and the deputy ended up crashing at the Leesburg Rd. intersection.
