Police: Charleston Suspect Shot Co-Worker, Held One Hostage at Restaurant

CHARLESTON, S.C (WCIV) (AP) – Authorities are now saying that only one person was taken hostage by a fired dishwasher who fatally shot a co-worker in a Charleston, South Carolina, restaurant. SC National Guard Members Readying for Deployment to Afghanistan

Greenville, SC (AP) Some of South Carolina’s bravest are getting ready for deployment. Sixty members of the South Carolina National Guard will deploy to Afghanistan. They’ll head to Texas Thursday for training for one month. The guard members are part of the 238-th Aviation Unit which includes pilots for six helicopters. They’ll leave for Afghanistan next month.
