Clemson Postpones CSU Game

Due to inclement weather and field conditions, the Clemson vs. Charleston Southern game originally scheduled for 4 p.m. on Wednesday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium was postponed and rescheduled for 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8 at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

Georgia Tech Tops Tigers 63-52

A 14-0 run midway through the second half led Georgia Tech to a 63-52 victory Monday over Clemson in McCamish Pavilion. The Tigers dropped to 15-11 on the season, 7-7 in ACC play. The win was Georgia Tech’s 12th of the season, moving the Yellow Jackets to 3-11 in the league. It also stopped Clemson’s 10-game winning streak over Tech, second-longest in program history over another ACC foe.

Gamecocks Go To Athens Tuesday

South Carolina travels to Georgia on Tuesday for the second 2015 meeting between the two schools. It is the Gamecocks’ fourth away game in their first five contests to start the month of February. The Gamecocks posted a 67-50 win in the first meeting between the two schools this season in Columbia, paced by four Carolina players in double figures. Tuesday’s matchup will be broadcast on SEC Network with Dari Nowkhah (pxp) and Joe Dean Jr. (analyst) on the call.

Wilson Ties SEC Freshman Record

South Carolina’s A’ja Wilson earned her league-record tying fifth SEC Freshman of the Week selection of the season, the league office announced today. Wilson is the sixth in conference history to receive five Freshman of the Week nods, joining teammate Alaina Coates, who earned the distinction last season. Wilson averaged 18.7 points and 6.3 rebounds last week, making her the Gamecocks’ top scorer and second-leading rebounder.

Martin Moving On From Kentucky Blowout

Frank Martin says he’s moving on from Saturday’s blowout loss at #1 Kentucky.

The Gamecocks (12-12, 3-9 SEC) plays at Georgia Tuesday night at 7 p.m. on the SEC Network. The Bulldogs are one of the three teams Carolina basketball has beaten this season, 67-50 on January 31st.

Clemson Football Announces Promotions

Following the announcement of the 2015 football schedule, the Clemson athletic department, in conjunction with the alumni association, student affairs, IPTAY, the Tiger Letterwinners association and a host of other campus groups, announced the game designations for Clemson’s home schedule this fall.
