IMG College and Kirkman Broadcasting have reached an agreement with WWIK-FM (98.9 ESPN Radio) to become Charleston’s new exclusive radio home of South Carolina Athletics, it was announced today. Under the terms of the agreement, 98.9 FM will carry all Gamecock football, men’s basketball and baseball games, along with the “Carolina Calls” coaches’ shows. In addition, all broadcasts will be simulcast on sister station WTMZ 910 AM.
The Gamecocks will travel to national #1 seed North Carolina for their best of three super regional series this weekend. The winner of the series advances to the College World Series.

South Carolina defeated Liberty 6-4 on Monday afternoon to claim the NCAA Columbia Regional title at Carolina Stadium, securing the program’s fourth straight trip to the Super Regionals.
