Old Myrtle Beach Inn Torn Down

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) _ A three-story brick hotel that has survived major hurricanes has been torn down in Myrtle Beach. The oceanfront Chesterfield Inn was demolished Wednesday to make way for new development, a miniature golf course and restaurant set to open in February.

SC ACT scores improved slightly for 4th year

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) โ€” South Carolina's graduating seniors saw slight improvement on their ACT college entrance exam scores for a fourth consecutive year, but the state's average on the exam's four tests remains lower than the national score.
