USC Finishes Strong at Landfall Tradition

South Carolina women’s golf posted its best round of the fall on Sunday at the Landfall Tradition as the team shot 283 (-5) in the third round, finishing the event in ninth place (888, +24). Three Gamecocks were under-par in the final round, led by junior Katelyn Dambaugh (68, -4), who finished in a tie for second on the individual leaderboard.

USC Captures Camden Collegiate Invitational

For the second straight year, the South Carolina men’s golf team captured the Camden Collegiate Invitational title. The Gamecocks fired a 5-over (285) in Sunday’s final round and finished the tournament atop the leaderboard with an overall score of 2-under (838).

Women’s soccer senior forward Raina Johnson tallied her sixth goal of the season for the No. 17 Gamecocks, who earned a 1-1 decision against LSU (10-4-4, 4-4-2 Southeastern Conference) on Sunday afternoon at LSU Soccer Stadium. South Carolina moved to 11-5-2 overall and 5-3-2 in SEC play with the draw.

The No. 6 Clemson Tigers (12-3-1, 6-3-0 ACC) were edged by No. 9 North Carolina (13-3-1, 6-3-0 ACC) by a final score of 1-0 on Sunday afternoon at Fetzer Field on the campus of the University of North Carolina.
