CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) _ A Charleston Santa who was sent packing from a local hospital is one again unpacking his sack. The Hollings Cancer Center of the Medical University of South Carolina said Wednesday volunteer Frank Cloyes may again dress up as Santa Claus to cheer patients.

Prescription Drug Summit

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) _ Federal and state authorities are meeting in Columbia for a summit on prescription drug abuse and addiction. United States Attorney Bill Nettles says representatives from the United States Attorney's Office, the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy and the Drug Enforcement Administration are among those planning to gather Wednesday at the University of South Carolina's Koger Center.

SC circuit judge: $14 million to sex abuse victim

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina Circuit Court judge has awarded a 27-year-old woman more than $14 million dollars in civil damages against a former relative who sexually abused her as a child.
