A federal judge on Wednesday sentenced 58-year-old Pasquale Pellicoro during a hearing on Columbia. Pellicoro could have received as much as 20 years in prison and faced $1 million in fines.

BLUFFTON, S.C. (AP) — Tests at Clemson University show the mysterious deaths of at least 23 crows around the Bluffton Schools Complex was the result of a pesticide typically used in cotton and potato fields.
