Four Wolfpack pitchers combined to allow only one of 14 Tiger baserunners to score in #8 N.C. State’s 4-1 win over Clemson in front of 2,087 fans at Doak Field on Sunday afternoon. The Wolfpack improved to 12-4 overall and 1-2 in the ACC. The Tigers, who won the series 2-1, dropped to 9-5 overall and 2-1 in ACC play.

Clemson Wins 6-3, Evens Up Rivalry Series

Seventh ranked South Carolina cut a five-run deficit down to a pair of runs heading into the ninth inning but Clemson added an unearned run in the top of the ninth and set down the Gamecocks in order in the bottom half to defeat the Gamecocks 6-3 in the Reedy River Rivalry contest at Fluor Field in front of a crowd of 7,125 fans. Carolina is now 7-2 with Clemson 6-3 on the year. The rubber game of the series is set for Sunday at Carolina Stadium.

Montgomery Gets Gamecocks Game 1 At Clemson

Sophomore left-hander Jordan Montgomery did not allow a batter to reach third base in eight scoreless innings of work and set a career-high with nine strikeouts as he combined with senior left-hander Tyler Webb for a three-hit shutout as seventh ranked South Carolina (7-1) defeated Clemson (5-3) 6-0 on Friday evening at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

Clemson-Wright St. Opener Postponed

The Clemson vs. Wright State baseball game scheduled for Friday at 4:00 PM at Doug Kingsmore Stadium was postponed due to inclement weather. The two teams are now scheduled to open the three-game series with a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 1:00 PM. Both games will be nine-inning contests and there will be approximately 30 minutes in between the games.

Former Tiger Bowers Reportedly Arrested
