Seventh ranked South Carolina cut a five-run deficit down to a pair of runs heading into the ninth inning but Clemson added an unearned run in the top of the ninth and set down the Gamecocks in order in the bottom half to defeat the Gamecocks 6-3 in the Reedy River Rivalry contest at Fluor Field in front of a crowd of 7,125 fans.
