South Carolina (11-5) notched two wins on Saturday to earn a series sweep of Princeton (0-7) at Founders Park. The Gamecocks beat the Tigers 7-3 in game one and 6-4 in game two, combining for 20 hits and four home runs. Carolina picked up its first series sweep of the season with the wins.

No. 17 South Carolina softball split its games in its first day at the OG&E Tournament in Norman, Okla., at the OU Softball Complex on Saturday. Carolina overwhelmed Illinois State in a 9-0 win in five innings before dropping a hard-fought 4-2 game to No. 5 Oklahoma.

Claflin beats Clark Atlanta to advance in NCAA DII Tournament

No. 3 seeded Claflin University defeated Clark Atlanta, 72-61, to advance to the 2018 NCAA DII Men’s Basketball South Region semi-final.  The win pushes the Panthers record to 26-6 overall.  Clark Atlanta close out the season at 24-6.  This is the second NCAA Regional win for Claflin and the first in nine years.  The Panthers defeated Valdosta State, 54-50, on March 14, 2009 in Lakeland, Fla.  Claflin then lost its second round game to Christian Brothers (3-15-09), 72-53.

#21 Coastal walks off for 10-8 win over Ohio State

Coastal Carolina allowed three runs in the top of the ninth inning to tie the game, 8-8, but Parker Chavers drew a one-out walk in the bottom half and Seth Lancaster followed with a walk-off, two-run home run to lift the 21st-ranked Chanticleers to a 10-8 victory over Ohio State in day two of the Environmental Staffing Chanticleer Classic at Springs Brooks Stadium.

Claflin opens NCAA DII Tournament with Clark Atlanta

The Claflin University men’s basketball team will enter the 2018 NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball South Regional as the No. 3 seed and will face the No. 6 seed in the South Region Clark Atlanta University, also out of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), Saturday, March 10 at 12 noon, in the opening game of the South Regional. 

HIGHLIGHTS: Clemson gets first ACC win in 3-2 victory over Georgia Tech

Patrick Cromwell's run-scoring single in the eighth inning broke a 2-2 tie and lifted No. 6 Clemson to a 3-2 victory over Georgia Tech at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Friday afternoon. The Tigers, who took a 1-0 lead in the series, improved to 13-1 overall and 1-0 in the ACC. The Yellow Jackets dropped to 9-4 overall and 0-1 in ACC play.
