On early National Signing Day, the NCAA announced penalties for the University of South Carolina's football program, after it says the school committed multiple NCAA recruiting violations.

ESPN announced today that multi-platinum, seven-time GRAMMY® Award-winning Top Dawg Entertainment recording artist, Kendrick Lamar, will be the musical performer for the inaugural College Football Playoff National Championship Halftime Performance from Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018.

Fireflies release 2018 game times

The Columbia Fireflies today released game times, daily promotions and fireworks show dates for the 2018 season. Opening Night will be on Thursday, April 5th at 7:05 p.m. featuring a matchup against the newly relocated Augusta GreenJackets (San Francisco Giants) with postgame fireworks. 

Clemson's Wilkins to receive Willis Award from Columbus Ohio TD Club

Clemson defensive tackle Christian Wilkins has been named the recipient of the Bill  Willis Award as the National Defensive Lineman of the Year by the Columbus (OH) Touchdown Club.    Wilkins will be honored at the organization’s annual banquet on Feb. 17.

After Sports Illustrated reported Sunday afternoon, during the Panthers' 31-24 victory over the Packers, that at least four former team employees have received monetary settlements in response to inappropriate workplace comments and conduct by owner Jerry Richardson, Carolina's founder announced hours later that he will be selling the franchise following the 2017 season.
