Clemson Narrowly Skids into NCAA Tournament

The Tigers were selected to the NCAA Tournament on Monday afternoon and will play in the Fullerton (Calif.) Regional beginning Friday at Goodwin Field. The Tigers were selected to the NCAA Tournament for the 28th time in the last 29 years and for the 40th time overall, and will make its first trip to the West Coast for a regional.

Season Ends for USC Women's Golf

No. 2 South Carolina’s run at the NCAA Championships ended two strokes outside of the 15 advancing teams after resuming the third round of the event on Monday morning at The Concession Golf Club.

No. 2 USC Surges at NCAA Championships

After finishing the second round in 20th place this morning, No. 2 South Carolina climbed to 13th before darkness suspended the third round of the 2015 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship at The Concession Golf Club on Sunday.

Play Suspended on Day 2 of NCAA Championships

For the second day in a row, weather shortened play at the 2015 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship. Today, the No. 2 Gamecocks did not get their round in, with players finishing anywhere from 11 to 13 holes of the second round before play was halted at The Concession Golf Club on Saturday. Currently, South Carolina is tied for 11th at 40-over and is 20-over in its uncompleted second round.

Tigers Fall to UNC, Await NCAA Tournament Fate

J.B. Bukauskas pitched 5.2 strong innings and Skye Bolt hit a three-run homer in the third inning to lift North Carolina to a 6-3 victory over Clemson in the ACC Tournament at Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Friday afternoon. The Tar Heels, who finished 2-2 in the tournament, improved to 34-24 on the season. The Tigers, who went 1-2 in the tourney, fell to 32-27 in 2015.

Crownover Named a Semifinalist for Golden Spikes Award

Junior lefthander Matthew Crownover (Ringgold, Ga.) was named one of 21 semifinalists for the Golden Spikes Award on Friday. The award, which will be handed out for the 38th time, goes to the top amateur baseball player in the nation.

Statement Win: Clemson Stuns No. 3 Louisville Thursday

Clemson scored five runs in the first two innings and Zack Erwin struck out 11 batters in the Tigers’ 7-2 victory over No. 3 Louisville in the ACC Tournament at Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Thursday. The Tigers, who upped their record to 1-1 in the tournament, improved to 32-26 on the season. The Cardinals, who fell to 1-1 in the tourney, dropped to 43-15 in 2015.

Clemson Names New Volleyball Assistant Coach

Nicole Miller has been named an assistant coach with the Clemson volleyball program, Head Coach Hugh Hernesman announced on Thursday. Miller joins Hugh, who was named the Tigers’ head coach in March, and his wife, Stephanie, who was previously added to the staff as an assistant coach, after spending one year at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Clemson/Louisville Baseball Delayed

First pitch for the NC State vs. Notre Dame game at the ACC Tournament in Durham is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for 11 a.m., but rain pushed the start time back. Clemson’s game, originally scheduled for 3 p.m., will start approximately 51 minutes after that game ends.

Boomer Biegalski pitched 6.1 scoreless innings to lead No. 10 Florida State to a 3-1 victory over Clemson in the ACC Tournament at Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Wednesday. The Seminoles, who improved to 1-0 in the tournament, upped its record to 38-19. The Tigers, who fell to 0-1 in the tourney, dropped to 31-26 on the season.

At a ceremony at A.C. Flora High School Wednesday morning, Denzel Johnson, surrounded by about a dozen supporters clad in orange, signed his national letter of intent with Clemson.

Clemson Football Earns APR Kudos Again

The Clemson football program was honored Wednesday when the NCAA released its Academic Performance Public Recognition Awards. Dabo Swinney's Tigers rank among the top 10 percent of all FBS programs nationally in APR score (Academic Progress Rate), the fifth-consecutive year the program has had a top 10 percent ranking. Clemson’s women’s golf and diving programs joined football this year among the top 10 percent of their sports.

Knott Makes Rimington Watch List

University of South Carolina sophomore center Alan Knott has been named to the Rimington Trophy’s 2015 Spring Watch List, the Rimington Trophy Committee announced today. The list includes 50 of the best centers in Division I football.

Matthew Crownover allowed just one run on five hits in 7.0 innings pitched to lead Clemson to a 4-1 win at No. 8 Florida State at Dick Howser Stadium on Thursday night. The Tigers, who took a 1-0 lead in the series, improved to 29-25 overall and 14-13 in the ACC. The Seminoles fell to 37-17 overall and 17-11 in ACC play. With the victory, Clemson clinched its spot in the ACC Tournament, which will be held next week at Durham (N.C.) Bulls Athletic Park.

Clemson Golf In 3rd After Opening Regional Round

Billy Kennerly fired a five-under-par 67 on Thursday, the second best round in the field of 75 golfers, to lead Clemson to a 284 team score and a tie for third place after the first round of the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional. The top five teams in the 13-team field after Saturday’s third round will advance to the NCAA Championship in Bradenton, Fla on May 29.
