Gamecocks swept in Gainesville by Florida

No. 11 South Carolina softball dropped a pair of games in a Saturday doubleheader against No. 6 Florida at KSP Stadium to close the three-game series. The Gators picked up a 7-0 win in the first game before taking the series finale with a 3-0 victory via a walk-off home run.

Fireflies rally to beat Tourists, 7-5 Thursday

Columbia outlasted Asheville in extras on Thursday night. The Fireflies scored twice in the top of the tenth and defeated the Tourists, 7-5, at McCormick Field. It was the first extra-inning game – and win – for Columbia in 2018.

No. 11 Gamecocks keep winning, blank Winthrop Wednesday night

No. 11 South Carolina softball used a combination of timely hitting and dominate pitching to earn a 7-0 win over Winthrop on Wednesday night at Terry Field. The pitching duo of Dixie Raley and Kelsey Oh allowed just four hits on the night while striking out eight. With the win, Carolina matched last season’s win total with 15 games remaining in the regular season.
