USC Open SEC Play At Georgia

The South Carolina women’s soccer team travels to Athens, Ga. to open SEC play with Georgia on Friday before returning home on Monday to host Kennesaw State at Stone Stadium. The match with the Bulldogs is set for 7 p.m. on Friday while kickoff against the Owls is set for 6 p.m. Both games are available on SEC Network + through participating providers.

Number Switch: USC Lineman Honors Teammate

Gamecock starting right tackle Mason Zandi, who normally wears number 74, will don number 51 this week in honor of Cody Waldrop, who suffered a broken ankle during practice earlier in the week.

Gamecocks Tie UNC-Greensboro 3-3

South Carolina (2-1-1) returned home and collected a 3-3 tie against UNC Greensboro (2-1-1) in front of 2,906 fans at Stone Stadium on Tuesday night. Junior midfielder Danny Deakin tallied all three goals, the first hat trick for a Gamecock in 14 years.

No. 6 Clemson Earns 1-1 Draw vs. No. 11 Coastal Carolina

The sixth-ranked Clemson men’s soccer team earned a 1-1 draw with No. 11 Coastal Carolina Monday night at Historic Riggs Field. The match went to two golden goal overtime sessions, but neither team found the back of the net. Clemson’s record is 3-0-1 on the season after tonight’s result.

Tigers Dominate Terriers Monday

The Clemson women’s soccer team beat the Wofford Terriers by a score of 5-1 Monday night Sept. 7, 2015 at Snyder Field. Salma Anastasio who netted two goals in the match led the Tiger’s in scoring.

No. 16 USC Tops Charlotte, 4-1

Sophomore forward Savannah McCaskill scored two goals with a pair of assists from junior midfielder Chelsea Drennan in 16th ranked South Carolina’s 4-1 victory over Charlotte on Monday night. The Gamecocks improve to 5-1-0 on the season, while the loss drops the 49ers to 4-2-0.

Injuries Stacking for USC

USC Head Coach Steve Spurrier said Sunday in his weekly teleconference that the Gamecocks could be without a few key players this Saturday when the Gamecocks face the Kentucky Wildcats.

Williams Injures Neck, Taken To Hospital

Clemson receiver Mike Williams suffered a neck injury as he hit a padded goalpost while scoring a touchdown in the first quarter vs. Wofford today. He was moving extremities and was taken to Oconee Hospital in Seneca. We will have an update after the game.

Clemson Blanks USC Men 3-0

South Carolina (2-1) fell in its first road match of the season, dropping a 3-0 decision at No. 9 Clemson on Friday night at Riggs Field.

USC Women Beat Colgate 2-0

The No. 16 South Carolina women’s soccer team concluded its homestand with a 2-0 win over Colgate on Friday night at Stone Stadium. The Gamecocks improved to 4-1-0 overall with the victory, while the Raiders dropped to 1-4-0 in 2015.

USC Faces Colgate Friday

The South Carolina women’s soccer team hosts Colgate on Fri., Sept. 4 at 7 p.m. before hitting the road to face the 49ers in Charlotte, N.C. on Mon., Sept. 7.

USC And UNC To Play In 2019 & 2023

The University of South Carolina and University of North Carolina will renew their border war twice more in the coming years, as the teams agreed to play in Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium on Labor Day weekend in both 2019 and 2023, it was announced today by the Charlotte Sports Foundation (CSF).

Lexington Native Joining Clemson Golf

Lexington native Sydney Legacy, the number-two ranked junior college player in the nation last year and a first-team Junior College All-American, will join the Clemson women’s golf program in January. Head Coach J.T. Horton made the announcement on Tuesday.
