Meteorologist Andrew Kingston with DHEC’s Bureau of Air Quality says while a precautionary alert was issued yesterday for the northern half of South Carolina, the Midlands shouldn’t experience any issues going forward on the ground level because of a slight cold front that moved through last night.
“There’s several causes. Cooking is a big factor,” Adams said. “Oftentimes, when people cook, they leave the kitchen unattended. That’s the number one cause of fires.”
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Crews responded to a fire at an abandoned building early Monday morning. Officials say it happened around 5 a.m. on the 3,000 block of Fernandina Road.
