RCSD: Man found guilty of vandalism at home of Jonathan Pentland during protest in April
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department says the man accused of vandalizing the home of Jonathan Pentland in April was found guilty and ordered to pay a fine.
Friday, Fort Jackson Commander Brigadier General Patrick Michaelis announced Sgt. 1st Class Jonathan Pentland would be moved from Fort Jackson to his next station. In August, Pentland was found guilty of assault after a viral video showed him confronting a man who was walking through his neighborhood in Richland County.

In a statement released Thursday afternoon, officials with Fort Jackson said that Jonathan Pentland has been suspended from instructor duties, pending the outcome of the investigation and criminal charges.
