A lot of new things are happening in both districts as well, including renovations to some Kershaw County school buildings.
One of the priorities for the money is replacing the old Saluda High School building which now serves as Saluda Elementary. The district’s goal is to combine Saluda Primary and Elementary in one brand-new facility that replaces the current outdated ones.
All eight candidates at the forum believe they are the right pick for the job but it will be up to the voters on June 14th to narrow the field down during the primaries.
McMaster says all districts will see an increase in funds through the proposal.
Principal Brunson says Fairfield has its fair share of talented musicians. Students only have to look at the bands on display Friday as proof they can be in a college band as well.
According to the group SC for Ed, 61 students and staff have died since the start of the pandemic.
