Deputies: Pair Arrested in Chop-Shop Investigation

SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO) – Two Sumter County residents were arrested for their alleged role as part of an ongoing chop-shop scheme being investigated by several law enforcement agencies.

Deputies say Anthony Coursey, 49, and Christine Connor, 36, are charged in the case.

Coursey is charged with three counts of receiving stolen goods, and one count each of breach of trust with fraudulent intent and conspiracy.

Connor is charged with two counts of receiving stolen goods, two counts of altering, defacing or destroying a vehicle identification number, and one count of conspiracy.
