Richland Library Main to reopen its garden level Saturday

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Richland Library Main will unveil its newly designed garden level to the public in a grand reopening celebration Saturday, February 3.

The garden level contains the children’s area and now, the teen area. It’s been closed for renovations since March 2017.

Saturday’s event is free to all – it’s taking place from 10 a.m. to noon. Organizers have family friendly activities planned. Local author, Dinah Johnson, and artist-in-residence Maria Fabrizio will make special appearances.

The library’s main location is at 1431 Assembly St. in downtown Columbia.

Richland County residents passed a $59 million bond referendum in 2013 to enhance library facilities over the course of a multi-year period.
