Local Living: Summer break cafes, Veterans creative arts fest, Laser lights at SCSM

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, Summer break cafes are back at the Richland Library.

Now through August 2, free lunches will be available for ages 18 and under from 11:30 to 12:30 Monday through Friday.

They will be offered at three locations: North Main Street, Oak Street and Broad River Road.

Meals are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last and must be eaten onsite.

The Columbia VA Medical Center is hosting the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival now through Sunday.

The event brings together more than 120 veterans and showcases their talents across music, visual arts, dance, drama, and more.

All performances and art displays are free and open to the public.

Friday Night Laser Lights return to the state museum this Summer.

The first show is on June 19 and will feature music from Michael Jackson, Prince, and Queen.

In addition to the laser light shows guests will also be able to enjoy delicious food for purchase from a local food truck.
