2 parents facing charges after loaded gun found in small child’s bedroom
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County deputies say two parents are facing charges after a loaded gun was found in a small child’s bedroom.
Investigators say Thursday morning, July 16, deputies executed a search warrant at a home on Farrow Road.
Deputies say they initially found a large amount of what they describe as a green plant like material, packaging items, and scales consistent with the sale of narcotics.
Investigators say they also found a loaded gun with the safety off and an extended magazine in the bedroom of a child under the age of five.
Deputies say Samantha Rivera and Alterik Myers are charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and unlawful conduct toward a child.
Myers is also charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
