Firefighters called to MLily production facility in Winnsboro

WINNSBORO, SC (WOLO) — Fairfield Fire Service and First Responders responded to a fire alarm and chemical smell Sunday morning at the MLily production facility on Hwy 321 South.

According to Gene Stephens with Fairfield County, the Hazmat Unit was called in as a precaution. Firefighters say a foam product at the facility and a conveyor were on fire. The fire was contained to a small area in the building.

Officials say there is no danger to citizens or anyone in the vicinity of the facility. Highway 321 S is safe to travel, say officials as well.
