3 SC Walmarts Set to Close, among those a Midlands Walmart

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Three Walmart stores in South Carolina are slated to close as part of the Company’s announcement that it will close nearly 159 stores in the U.S.

According to the Walmart News Website, the following locations are set for closure in South Carolina, among those, the Walmart in Winnsboro.

Highway 321 in Winnsboro Close Date 1/28

Highway 14 Gray Court SC Close Date 1/28 and South Pine Street, Pacolet SC Close Date 1/17

In a release from the Company it states “Today’s action follows a thorough review of Walmart’s nearly 11,600 worldwide stores that took into account a number of factors, including financial performance as well as strategic alignment with long-term plans. In total, the impacted stores represent less than 1 percent of both global square footage and revenue.”
