Red Cross : Critical need for Blood in South Carolina

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– As cold temperatures grip the Midlands and South Carolina, the Red Cross is issuing a call for aid.

The American Red Cross says it has a critical need right now for blood donors, especially during the winter months.

Eligible blood donors of all types are needed, especially those with O, AB, B negative and A negative say officials.

Blood donations are urgently needed now and throughout the winter to maintain a sufficient blood supply for patients in need.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.; closed Sunday.
