Loaded gun found at elementary school investigation closes, no charges
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott has announced that the investigation into the weapon found at an elementary school is closed, said RCSD.
The sheriff also stated that the investigation is closed with no charges.
A Richland County Sheriff’s Department investigation found that the weapon was left by a school security guard and belonged to the guard.
Investigators said the security guard has a conceal weapon carry permit for the weapon found in the teachers staff workroom at Round Top Elementary.
Also the department said any administrative or disciplinary action will be left to the school district.
