First Thursdays:  Start your weekend early with First Thursday on Main.
on the first Thursday of each month, businesses in the downtown area keep their doors open late.
they offer a mix of specials, events, entertainment and more.

From the 1200 block with the Whig all the way to the 1700 block with the gallery at City Hall you will find a mix of art, music, food, drinks and fun!

Wine for Charity:  Houston needs our help, and the Midlands is making it so easy to donate.
All you have to do is show up at the cellar on Greene and have some wine, lots of it.

They will be donating 15 percent of all wine sales to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.
head Down to the Cellar today until Saturday to support the cause.

Hurricane Tips: Before a hurricane actually comes, you want to make sure you have a some type plan.
Some immediate hurricane prep tips include stocking three days worth of water and non-perishable food items.
Make sure you map out and know emergency evacuation routes
and Make sure cell phones are fully charged.
