WSJ: More workers enrolled in 401K plans
(CNN)– The Wall Street Journal reports that for the first time, half of private sector workers are participating in 401K plans.
A decade ago it was 43%.
The 50% participation tipping point comes nearly 50 years after congress passed a law paving the way for 401K’s.
In recent years, access to the savings plans has increased as more states require companies to offer the option.
Companies are also automatically enrolling more people.
