Firefighters battle blaze at Columbia recycling facility

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia firefighters say they responded to a fire at Sunoco Recycling on Idlewild Boulevard at 12:40 Friday afternoon.

Officials say staff at the facility used their equipment to dig into piles of recycling materials to help crews fight the fire.

The scene was brought under control and no injuries were reported.
