COLUMBIA SC (WOLO)–The numbers simply don’t add up – in Columbia there are 660 children in foster care and only 421 foster families to care for them.

The non profit group Care2Foster is hoping to change that one family at a time, starting with their Fostering Hope event on May 7th at Columbia International University.

The event is free, and includes food, and even childcare.  Speakers will include a scared dad and his fears before becoming involved, a moms perspective on letting go of the child when bio parents are ready for reunification, his fostering helped my biological children and then hearing from those children and their perspective.
