Dreher and Camden Banned from Playoffs

Six days after an ugly post-game brawl between players of both Dreher and Camden High Schools, the South Carolina High School League has banned both schools from participating in this year’s football playoffs. After last Friday night’s game between Dreher and Camden, players from the respective schools were involved in a fight that school officials, referees and administrators were forced to end. Camden High Principal Dan Matthews was injured with a cut under his eye after attempting to break up the altercation. Both schools must pay an undisclosed fine, and the players involved may face criminal charges from the Camden Police Department.
