City of Columbia Green Space in Park closed due to Flood

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The City of Columbia’s Green space at Martin Luther King Jr. park is closed due to damage caused by the flooding. The City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Department announced that the green space at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park is closed to special event usage due to the damage caused by the October 2015 Flood. City officials say the park‘s community center is open to visitors. All special events have been moved from the park‘s green space until further notice. All activities scheduled inside the community center will continue as normal. The green space is still accessible for individual usage say officials.
