Multiple Tigers projected to go in NFL Draft

Multiple members of the 2017 Clemson football team could have their name called  at the NFL Draft in Dallas, Texas this week.  The 83rd  annual selection of former college players will take place April 26-28 at AT&T Stadium. 

No. 14 Clemson blasts Presbyterian, 14-4

No. 14 Clemson set a season high for runs in its 14-4 win over Presbyterian College at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Wednesday night. With the victory, Clemson (31-11) secured a winning record in 2018 for the 54th-consecutive season, the third-longest active streak in the nation.

Coastal Carolina Men’s Golf wins Sun Belt Golf Championship

After winning the stroke play portion of the 2018 Sun Belt Men’s Golf Championship by 26 strokes the previous three days, Coastal Carolina continued its strong play Wednesday as it defeated South Alabama, 3-2, in the morning semifinal and turned around in the afternoon to defeat Georgia Southern, 4-1, in the final to be crowned Sun Belt Conference Champion at the Raven Golf Course at Sandestin.

Gamecocks selected to 20th-straight NCAA Tournament

South Carolina women’s golf earned its 20th-straight NCAA postseason berth Wednesday after being selected to the San Francisco Regional. The No. 10 Gamecocks, who received the No. 3 seed in their regional, joined the 72-team field that was divided among four sites during this evening’s NCAA Selection Show on Golf Channel.

Fireflies lose both games to Charleston in doubleheader

Columbia first baseman Jeremy Vasquez tallied four hits and drove in a pair of runs in Tuesday’s double header in Charleston. The lefty slugger recorded hits in both games which extended his on-base streak to a new franchise record 18 games in a row. Vasquez and the Fireflies dropped both games of the twin bill, though, at Joe Riley Park.

Jana Johns named SEC Freshman of the Week

For her performance last week, South Carolina softball’s Jana Johns has been named SEC Freshman of the Week, the conference office announced today. Johns posted an impressive .500 on-base percentage in four games to help the Gamecocks to a sweep of Missouri. 

No. 16 Coastal's battle with No. 6 UNC canceled

Due to inclement weather, the baseball game featuring #16 Coastal Carolina and #6 North Carolina, set to be played today (April 24) in Chapel Hill, N.C., has been cancelled.

Charleston product signs with Gamecocks

 South Carolina head women’s basketball coach Dawn Staley announced that Elysa Wesolek has signed a financial aid agreement to attend the University and play for the Gamecocks.
