Boat manufacturer opening operations in Midlands

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)– A boat designer and manufacturer is setting up shop in the Midlands. Friday the governor’s office announced Xplor Boatworks LLC will invest $3.4 million in Richland County and create 63 jobs. Sumter County Deputy killed in the line of duty

  Sumter, S.C. (WOLO)– A Sumter County Deputy has been killed in the line of duty. According to Sumter County Sheriff Anthony Dennis, Cpl. Andrew Gillette died from his wounds in a shooting early Tuesday morning. No other deputies were injured, says Dennis. Sheriff Dennis says the suspect was fatally wounded.
