The Clemson Tigers practiced for nearly two hours on the fields beyond the centerfield fence of the Kingsmore Baseball Stadium on Friday afternoon. Dabo Swinney’s team begins its season two weeks from Saturday against Wofford at Memorial Stadium.

No. 11 Gamecocks Open Regular Season vs. Northeastern
South Carolina women’s soccer opens the 2015 season with a pair of home matches, hosting Northeastern on Fri. Aug. 21 and Oklahoma on Sun., Aug. 23. Kickoff for both contests is set for 7 p.m. at Stone Stadium.
USC Announces Recipients of Endowed Scholarships
University of South Carolina Athletics announced today the recipients of eight endowed scholarships across four sports. Seven members of the group have appeared on the SEC Academic Honor Roll, two have earned All-SEC honors and two were All-America selections. Recipients for endowed scholarships are selected each year by the sport’s head coach.
Clemson Begins Season Friday
The Clemson women’s soccer team travels to Charleston, S.C. for two matches to start the 2015 season. The Tigers face Texas on Friday, Aug. 21 at 5 p.m. in the first game of the Charleston Nike Classic before facing College of Charleston on Sunday, Aug. 23 at 2:30 p.m. Both games will be played at the Patriots Point Athletics Complex in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
Kopp Returns to Tigers Baseball Program
Former Tiger righthander David Kopp was added to the Clemson staff as a student assistant coach, announced by head coach Monte Lee. Kopp was a three-year letterman (2005-07) at Clemson and played eight seasons in the minors.
Gamecocks Tie Winthrop 1-1 in Exhibition Match
South Carolina claimed a tie in its second exhibition of the 2015 season with a 1-1 draw against Winthrop on Wednesday evening at Stone Stadium.
