Tigers Hold First Round Lead at ACC Tournament

Miller Capps had a consistent round of three under par 69 and Stephen Behr had a mercurial round of two-under-par 70 to lead Clemson to a 281 team total and a one-shot lead after the first round of the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Golf Championship at The Old North State Club in New London, N.C. on Friday.

Tigers Set To Tee Off ACC Championship

Clemson begins postseason play on Friday, April 24 at the ACC Men’s Golf Championship at The Old North State Club in New London, N.C. The 54 hole three-day event will continue Saturday and Sunday at the par 72 course north of Charlotte, N.C. This marks the 14th consecutive year and the 19th time overall that the ACC Tournament has been held at The Old North State Club.

Georgia Blanks Clemson 7-0

Georgia scored four two-out runs in the first inning and cruised to a 7-0 victory over Clemson at Foley Field on Tuesday night. The Bulldogs, who won both games of the home-and-home season series, improved to 21-20. The Tigers, who saw their five-game winning streak end, fell to 22-19.

Today, Director of Athletics Dan Radakovich unveiled Clemson’s commitment to its student-athletes’ welfare through “The Clemson Will,” a series of tenets established for the benefit, development and protection of student-athletes.

Vandy Guard Transfers To Clemson

Shelton Mitchell, a 6-3 guard at Vanderbilt University last season, has signed a financial aid agreement to transfer to Clemson. Head Coach Brad Brownell made the announcement Monday. Per NCAA rules, Mitchell is required to sit out the 2015-16 season but has three seasons of eligibility remaining, beginning in 2016-17.
