Cops Find Carjacking Teens Asleep in Stolen Car

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) _ Richland County deputies say they found two carjacking suspects asleep in the car they stole just hours earlier. Investigators said three men approached a man at a gas station around 1 a.m. Saturday asking for a ride. The man said the suspects beat and robbed him after he took them where they wanted to go.

Dad Killed While Walking Alongside Bike-Riding Son

PICKENS, S.C. (AP) _ A father walking alongside his 12-year-old son as he rode his bike in Pickens County has been struck and killed by an SUV. Authorities said 38-year-old Michael Cummings died a short time after he was struck around 6:15 p.m. Friday on a rural road about six miles north of Pickens.

Kershaw Deputies Investigate Shooting

At approximately 2:30 am Sunday morning Kershaw County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene of a shooting in the Lugoff community. One individual had been shot three times and died as a result of those injuries. Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews says that deputies were dispatched to a residence located at 63 Trinity School Rd. in Lugoff, SC following reports of a shooting.
