COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) _ Authorities say a 20-year-old man has been arrested after he threw a brick at a Richland County Sheriff's Office patrol car.

Former SC Superintendent Accused of Tax Evasion

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) _ A former superintendent for schools in Mullins and Columbia is accused of underreporting his income by nearly $626,000. The state Revenue Department says 61-year-old Nathaniel Miller of Columbia was arrested Monday and charged with five counts of tax evasion.

Civil Air Patrol will still take Horry Co. calls

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) — The Myrtle Beach unit of the Civil Air Patrol will still take assistance calls from Horry County, despite a vow its commander made after being arrested in the county for taking a laser pointer from a 12-year-old.
