Tourism in Myrtle Beach leads economic recovery

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) — A new Coastal Carolina University study has found tourism in the Myrtle Beach area led the recovery from the Great Recession, bouncing back faster than other areas of the economy along the state's Grand Strand.

2 Dead in Apparent SC Murder-Suicide

ANDREWS, S.C. (AP) _ Authorities say the death of a couple in Williamsburg County was an apparent murder-suicide. Williamsburg County Sheriff Michael Johnson says the couple was driving Wednesday night on a road near Andrews when a witness noticed the vehicle was swerving and then pulled over.
